Bea's father Brian took his life when he was just three years old. He was an equine veterinary. Bea wasn't told the specifics of his passing away until she turned 13. Bea adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father and published an article in The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea's mother Helen was also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey, was the one responsible for raising her as well as Sinead. Her parents were obsessed by horses and racing.
