Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most well-known roles are Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Originating from Worthington Ohio she left high school in order to relocate to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. They were struggling to make ends meet and was offered her first part in the acting world as Rachel's Room's main character. The role she played as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she acted as a principal actor for the first two seasons winning an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace was a co-star with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, wanted to move to film. In 2007, she was as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. The actress reprised her character as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role as Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost which included the finale of the series. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season which ran from 2013 to the year 2014. She plays Faith as a female groupie as well as a model for actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She is part of the Gyllenhaal clan as well as the younger sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager She appeared in small roles in her father's movies and she co-starred alongside her twin brother on Donnie Darko which is a popular cult movie. Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received nominations for a Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the romance comedy Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent received her a nomination in the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she played in comedies and dramas, including Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 The other roles she played were an agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013), a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in the film Frank (2014) as well as The title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her professional career as screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021. she wrote and directed the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and was also nominated for the Academy Award.
