Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to many classical music and traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos, as well as opera and various dramatic styles. Ana started to learn how to sing and play music as a child by her mother. The formal singing instruction in the year she turned 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choirs as well as chamber ensembles. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects, both as an instructor and performer due to her passion for music and art. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing music from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
